University Carlos III of Madrid is a public university in the Community of Madrid, Spain, which consists of 137 recognised Research Groups dependent on 27 academic departments. The Aerospace Engineering faculty group covers multiple research specialties such as the Aircraft Operations Lab, led by Prof. Manuel Soler.

UC3M will bring to KAIROS the research expertise in the areas of artificial intelligence, weather, and air navigation.
